INGREDIENTS

Butter Whole wheat flour Salt Shredded cheddar cheese Optional: salsa, jalapenos, paprika

STEP 1

Cook butter, whole wheat flour, and optional smoked paprika. Whisk together until it becomes a paste, about 1-2 minutes

STEP 2

Whisk in milk. Whisk until smooth and thickened, about 1 minute, add salt. Remove from heat once incorporated.

STEP 3

Add cheese, and continue to whisk until well combined, and smooth. About 2-3 minutes.

Pour into bowl, top with salsa or sliced jalapenos, and serve with chips and veggies.

Enjoy as an appetizer or over vegetables, a burrito, or as mac & cheese base.
