CHILI WITHOUT TOMATOES

This easy chili without tomatoes is perfect if you don't have or don't like diced tomatoes in your chili. In about 30 minutes you've got a hearty chili full of ground beef, beans, onion, green bell pepper, and warm comforting spices.

INGREDIENTS

Heat a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat. Once hot, add ground beef, green bell pepper, diced onion, chili powder, oregano, cumin.

STEP 1

Stir and break apart meat until vegetables are softened and meat is cooked through. About 5-7 minutes.

STEP 2

Once meat is cooked through, add red kidney beans, garlic. Stir and cook until garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.

STEP 3

Add beef broth. Stir together. Simmer for about 15 minutes, or until most of the water has evaporated, to preference.

STEP 4

Enjoy immediately. Top with sour cream/plain Greek yogurt, shredded cheddar cheese, and green onion, if desired.

STEP 5

Serve with cornbread or toast.
