Bread Egg Milk Vanilla Maple syrup (or sugar) Cinnamon Salt
Crack an egg into a shallow bowl, add milk, vanilla extract, maple syrup, cinnamon, and a pinch of table salt to egg. Whisk together.
Dip both slices of bread in egg mixture, cover one side, then flip quickly. Let sit in egg mixture for 15-30 seconds on the second side. This will help you not get dry spots.
Spray pan with cooking spray, or add butter. Wipe excess egg off of bread slices on the edge of bowl. Transfer to hot skillet. Cook 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
