FRENCH TOAST FOR ONE

Enjoy this french toast for one recipe any day of the week. It's a great 15 minute recipe that can be enjoyed in the morning or for dinner. It's dipped in a rich custard dip and pan fried to crispy deliciousness.

Bread Egg Milk Vanilla Maple syrup (or sugar) Cinnamon Salt

INGREDIENTS

Crack an egg into a shallow bowl, add milk, vanilla extract,  maple syrup, cinnamon, and a pinch of table salt to egg. Whisk together.

STEP 1

Dip both slices of bread in egg mixture, cover one side, then flip quickly. Let sit in egg mixture for 15-30 seconds on the second side. This will help you not get dry spots.

STEP 2

Spray pan with cooking spray, or add butter. Wipe excess egg off of bread slices on the edge of bowl. Transfer to hot skillet. Cook 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Cook 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

STEP 4

Enjoy immediately. Top with butter and syrup. Other toppings/fillings include: fruit, chocolate chips, nuts, etc.
