Having some sort of plan is helpful.  -Instead of meal prepping, try to cook extra of basics when you're already cooking. -Have a well stocked pantry/fridge/freezer.

Foods that freeze well -cooked beans -uncooked or cooked meat, tofu -many recipes (except fresh veggies often) -Blanched vegetables -Shredded cheese -Sliced/chopped fruit -bread, sliced -citrus
