Ingredients

  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • 1 ½ cup water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • ½ banana sliced
  • sprinkle of cinnamon ~I add ¼ teaspoon

Instructions

  • Combine rolled oats, water, and pinch of salt in a large microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 2.5-3 minutes.
  • Stir oatmeal, then add peanut butter, banana, and cinnamon

Notes

-You can make this on the stovetop
-I love making oatmeal packets to bring to eat at work, instead of using regular peanut butter, I use a teaspoon of peanut butter powder, and dried fruit. I add all these ingredients to a bag, and pour it into boiling water. Let stand for 5 minutes until thickened.
-This flavored oatmeal is delicious day of, and also days after. You can increase the portion size, cook the oatmeal, and then refrigerate individual servings for quick breakfasts during the week. Just heat the oatmeal up as needed, and enjoy.
