Easy Homemade Gingerbread Spice Mix

This homemade gingerbread spice mix is a perfect homemade holiday gift, and will allow you to make anything gingerbread flavored more quickly.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice

Instructions

  • Using a teaspoon and tablespoon, pour 2 T ground ginger, 2 T ground cinnamon, 1 T ground nutmeg, 1 t ground cloves, and one t ground allspice into a small glass jar.
  • Screw lid onto jar and shake until all spices are mixed together. Makes about ⅓ cup of spice mix.
  • Tie ribbon around jar and add a small card if giving it as a gift.

Notes

  • Get new spices from the bulk section of your grocery store so they're fresh and fragrant. The bulk section is also less expensive than buying whole bottles of spices.
  • If making for multiple holiday gifts, roll curser over the number of servings in the recipe card to choose the number of servings you plan on making. Mix spices in a bowl and divide into individual gift jars or small spice containers.
