Make this single serving Air Fryer Bone In Pork Chop when you need a quick dinner. It just takes about 20 minutes at the most, and, you can even cook potatoes and vegetables with it for a full meal.
sides: frozen vegetables and mashed potatoes or potato wedges, etc
Instructions
Preheat Air Fryer to 400 degrees, about 5 minutes.
Mix together seasonings in small bowl (½ teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon dried thyme, ½ teaspoon paprika, ¼ teaspoon brown sugar (optional), ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, ¼ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder)
Spray one side of pork chop with cooking spray. Sprinkle about ½ of seasoning mix over pork chop.
Spray Air Fryer basket with cooking spray, place pork chop in basket, seasoned side down. Add vegetables, and other sides if you want.
Spray unseasoned side of pork chop with cooking spray. Sprinkle remaining seasonings over pork chop evenly. If any remains, sprinkle over sides or vegetables.
Cook 5 minutes or until pork chop reaches 145 degrees F.(frozen broccoli will likely get very crisp after about 5 minutes, I like to just cook it 5 minutes)
Once pork chop reaches 145 degrees F, remove and let rest for 3-5 minutes. Continue cooking sides until done. See approximate cooking times for different thicknesses in notes below.
Serve with sides and enjoy.
Notes
I cooked one ½ inch thick bone in pork chop and ¾ inch thick bone in pork chop in my testing. The ½ inch thick took about 5 minutes to reach 145 degrees F, and the ¾ inch took approximately 6-7 minutes to reach 145 degrees F.
I also tested this recipe with 1 ½ inch thick boneless pork chop, and it took 12 minutes to cook.
Potato wedges cook in about 10 minutes, and frozen broccoli spears take about 5 minutes to cook. If you're using a thinner pork chop, start potatoes and pork chop at the same time, then remove pork chop to rest, and add in vegetables so it's all ready at about the same time.
You can use a neutral oil or olive oil to coat the pork chop instead of spray, I just like spray because it's less messy and very easy. Oil helps the seasonings stick and helps your pork chop stay juicy on the inside.
