This homemade no-churn frozen Greek yogurt with tart cherry sauce is as delicious as it is easy. Grab all the ingredients at Sprouts for a convenient treat. Try these cherry oatmeal bars too!

This post was created in partnership with Sprouts Farmers Market. I have been compensated for my time commitment. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

Here I am with another recipe through my partnership with Sprouts Farmers Market. Like I've said before, Sprouts is one of my favorite grocery stores. I do a majority of my shopping there because they have high quality meats, lots of great priced produce, and a big bulk foods section. I have made these recipes using ingredients found at Sprouts: Instant Pot Asian BBQ chicken wings, and pear & prosciutto flatbread.

Since this recipe is made with pantry (or at least my pantry) staples, I can stock up on the ingredients and have them on hand for whenever I anticipate needing something cold and bursting with flavor. That's where this frozen Greek yogurt comes into place.

How this frozen greek yogurt with tart cherry sauce fits into my lifestyle

Whether it's summertime or not, it's always ice cream or frozen yogurt weather. I usually choose one over the other depending on whether I want something slightly tart or not. Right now, in January, I want all the bright tart foods. This frozen Greek yogurt with tart cherry sauce fits the bill, plus it's really easy. I just make it ahead of time to let it freeze for up to 8 hours, then grab some when I'm feeling a craving come in.

If I'm planning on serving this frozen yogurt at a dinner party, I'll freeze it in a loaf pan, but if I'm planning on snacking on it or having it for dessert, I'll freeze it in smaller individual ramekins because it'll freeze more quickly AND will thaw more quickly. That all means less time from making it to getting it in my mouth. It's a win-win.

This homemade no-churn frozen Greek yogurt is lightly sweetened with a ripe banana and a touch of turbinado sugar. Then the tart cherry concentrate and frozen cherries add a burst of flavor to an otherwise simple frozen yogurt.

How it’ll make your life easier

This frozen Greek yogurt is NO-CHURN, so if you're like me and don't have an ice cream maker or don't want to get it out, this is the recipe for you. It just takes 5-10 minutes to prepare and will leave you with 8-10 servings of cherry goodness.

    Quick Notes on This Recipe

How is this Greek yogurt sweetened?

I decided to sweeten plain Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of turbinado sugar (my favorite because it's got a touch of molasses for extra flavor and I don't feel like I need as much as when I use white sugar), a large ripe banana, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. It still maintains the quintessential Greek yogurt tang without being, well, too tangy. If you like your froyo more or less sweet, adjust as needed. Just taste a bit of the mixed yogurt and see if it's as delicious as you'd like.

How do I thaw the frozen Greek yogurt?

Ok, so this guy comes out rock hard solid. It's pretty much inedible straight for the freezer. So plan a bit ahead of time to eat it, and either leave it in the fridge for a couple hours (yes, it does take a long time to be able to scoop) or thaw it in a water bath for about 30 minutes before serving.

How do I serve this frozen Greek yogurt?

Make sure to add the tart cherry concentrate on top. It's perfectly tart and packed with flavor, and is beautiful on top of a scoop or a couple. I like a few mint leaves, and you can also add some chocolate chips or syrup if you love anything chocolate.

Yum. This sounds so good. I always keep Greek yogurt around but never really thought about freezing it. And the cherry sauce sounds amazing with this.
