Plain water gets boring pretty quick, that's why I like to add simple flavors to my water to stay hydrated and enjoy something tasty.

This anything-but-boring raspberry mocktail with lime and mint is a great way to enjoy water in the summer. It's easy to make for one person or a batch for a crowd or leftovers.

    Ingredients

Scroll down to the xxx recipe card for the amounts of each ingredient, but here's a quick visual + description of what's in this recipe.

    raspberry mojito ingredients
    • Raspberries: Fresh raspberries add some texture to this drink, which I like. You can leave them whole or muddle like in this recipe.
    • Raspberry syrup: This is an easy way to add lots of raspberry flavor and some sweetness to this easy raspberry mocktail.
    • Water or sparkling water
    • Lime juice: It enhances the raspberry flavor and adds a tangy note to this easy mocktail.
    • Mint leaves: Muddle mint with raspberries for a mojito-like flavor.
    • Ice

    Instructions

Scroll down to the recipe card for more detailed instructions. Here's a quick overview + photos to see how to make this recipe in general.

mashed raspberries and mint in glass

    1. Start making your raspberry mocktail by muddling a small handful of each: mint leaves and fresh raspberries in serving glass.

    2. Add a few ice cubes.

    3. Pour sparkling water, lime juice, and raspberry syrup into glass. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over.

Add salt? Yes, it brings out the tanginess of the lime and brings out all the flavors. Trust me, it's necessary in this raspberry mocktail.

    4. Mix. Garnish your raspberry mocktail with fresh mint leaves and raspberries, if desired.

    Storage Tips

You can make a few servings of this easy raspberry mocktail for a crowd or a few servings. Store it in the fridge for a few days. You can even add more lime juice and raspberries if you'd like.

One note: if you're using sparkling water in your raspberry mocktail, wait until serving to add it so it's still sparkling.

    Substitutions/Tips

    • You can substitute the raspberries and raspberry syrup with any fruit/syrup. It'd be good with blueberry, mango, pineapple, or other slightly tangy-tangy fruit.
    • If you don't have fruit syrup, just add 2-3x the fruit to it, and muddle it all. The syrup adds a lot of raspberry/fruit flavor, so you'll need to substitute with enough flavor.
    • Substitute the sparkling water with flavored sparkling water, club soda, or even Fresca or citrus pop.
    • Other great add-ins: other citrus, white rum, tequila, or vodka could all be added to this raspberry mocktail (of course the latter would make it a cocktail).

    FAQ

What is a mocktail and what are the best recipes?

A mocktail is just a drink without alcohol, usually a cocktail without the booze added to it, or a drink with multiple ingredients.

A couple great mocktail recipes are: this raspberry mocktail, Sparkling Apple Mocktail, Mimosa Mocktail, and this Smashed Cranberry Mocktail.

What is the difference between a mocktail and mojito?

A mocktail is a drink without any alcohol, a mojito is a Cuban cocktail. You can make a mojito mocktail by not adding the rum to it.

    Other mocktail recipes

    • Smashed Cranberry Mocktail
    • Tart Cherry Juice Spritzer
    • Sparkling Berry Lemonade
    • Mimosa Mocktail
    • Starbucks Copycat Passion Tea Lemonade

What to do with leftover ingredients?

When you're cooking for one, you often have leftover produce, cans of whatever ingredient, etc. Here are a couple ideas on how to use up the leftover ingredients. It'll help you save money by wasting fewer ingredients.

    • Raspberry Syrup: Add it to Hot Chocolate or coffee. Make it into an Italian soda, add to your favorite pop, especially colas and citrus flavored ones.
    • Raspberries: Sparkling Berry Lemonade
    • Lime: Pomegranate Lime Mocktail, Refried Bean Tacos, Flat Iron Steak Fajitas, or Coconut Green Lentil Curry.
