How will this chia pudding make your life better?

You can make this easy chocolate peanut butter chia pudding, a Versatile Chia Pudding, Coffee Chia Pudding, or PB yogurt Dip for a quick snack or dessert that satisfies your sweet tooth. Use ingredients you have in your kitchen so it's even easier.

What makes this chia seed pudding so good?

    • Chia seeds
    • Milk
    • Vanilla extract
    • Banana
    • Peanut butter
    • Dark chocolate chips

How do I make chia pudding with peanut butter?

To make this peanut butter chia pudding, mix together chia seeds and water in a medium sized bowl. Let sit on counter for 10-15 minutes. (do not let sit in fridge-it gets goopy). And stir occasionally.

Top your chia seeds with mashed ripe banana, peanut butter, and chopped chocolate chips to make chia pudding with banana, peanut butter and chocolate. Add additional sweetener if needed.

    Substitutions/Tips

    • Occasionally stir chia pudding and break up globs of chia seeds while it's sitting out so it doesn't get gloppy.
    • The higher fat milk you use, the creamier the pudding will be. But just use what you've got on hand for the easiest recipe.
    • Use a ripe banana so it's easily mashed, and use your favorite type of peanut butter & chocolate chips. I like creamy peanut butter & semi-sweet chocolate chips in this pudding.
    • Taste and feel free to add some sugar if your chia pudding isn't sweet enough.
    • Other great add-ins: Dried or fresh fruit; sugar, maple syrup, or honey for sweetness.

    FAQ

Is chia seed pudding good for you?

Instead of categorizing foods as healthy or not, try focusing on how food tastes, what feelings it brings up, and the level of enjoyment you feel eating it. If eating healthy enough is stressful, consider working with a non-diet dietitian.

Can you put peanut butter in chia pudding?

Peanut butter is a delicious addition to chia pudding. This peanut butter chia pudding is flavorful and super creamy thanks to the peanut butter.

Is chia pudding a good late night snack?

It depends, try eating it and see if it affects your sleep. If my clients are hungry late at night, I encourage them to add some protein to what they're eating, to fill them up. Lots of chia pudding recipes have protein from dairy added, and PB!

What can I make with leftover ingredients?

    • Chia seeds: you can use them in so many different recipes!) Grilled Turkey & Brie Sandwich, Triple Berry Chia Pudding, Ham & Swiss Sliders.
    • Peanut butter: PB Caramel Sauce, Peanut Butter Granola, PB Greek Yogurt Dip
    • Banana: Peanut Butter Overnight Oats, Bananas Foster Pancakes, PB Banana Oatmeal, Overnight Oats with Yogurt, include it in a Waffle Bar.
