Ingredients
Scroll down to the strawberry banana peanut butter smoothie recipe card for the amounts of each ingredient, but here's a quick visual + description of what's in this recipe.
- Plain or Vanilla Greek yogurt: I usually keep plain Greek yogurt on hand, as it's more versatile than flavored. But use what you have. Vanilla may be best, but you could add lots of fruit yogurts to this smoothie.
- Orange Juice: I love a flavorful, tangy smoothie. Adding orange juice is a great way to get just that! It's even good with the added peanut butter
- Peanut butter powder/peanut butter
- Banana: a fresh or frozen banana adds creaminess and a base sweetness to smoothies, a frozen banana will make your smoothie extra creamy. It's essential in this strawberry banana peanut butter smoothie.
- Frozen strawberries: You can use fresh or frozen berries, but I recommend frozen to make it smoother and more cold. Frozen fruit is best in any smoothie.

- If you cook for one, consider keeping a can of orange juice concentrate in your freezer and spoon some out every time you want OJ or need it in a recipe.

FAQ
Greek yogurt, milk/fruit juice, frozen/fresh spinach, fruit, and a banana are all great bases for smoothies. A banana adds sweetness and nutrients, banana and the rest make your smoothie very creamy.
Really any fruit is good in a smoothie, you may want to base that on what kind of blender you're using. If you have a high speed blender, you could use any fruit, but if you don't, large frozen fruits wouldn't blend up well.
I usually add milk because it won't water down the flavors of the fruit in the smoothie. But in this recipe, I added orange juice instead of milk. It adds a really great tanginess to the smoothie that I highly recommend.
